Bachelor´s degree admission at the Finnish University of Applied Sciences

To be eligible for Bachelor´s degree studies in Finland, you need to have a minimum of high school graduation certificate in your home country. In other words, the qualification that gives eligibility for university studies in your home country. For students from Cameroon, you need a minimum of GCE Advanced level certificate.

Entrance exam pathway

To obtain a study place at the Finnish University of Applied sciences for international Bachelor´s programmes in English, you must hold a qualification that gives eligibility for higher education in your home country and be able to take the entrance exam organised by the school. You also need to have an acceptable score in international English language test at hand (IELTS academic, a minimum total score = 6.0, TOELF academic, a minimum total score of 60, PTE academic, a minimum score of 55)

Typically, there are two admissions periods in a year:

  • The Spring intake for studies beginning in January
  • The Fall intake for studies beginning in September.

SAT pathway

If you have written the SAT exam and have a minimum score of 500 in evidence-based reading and writing and a minimum score of 500 in mathematics, then contact us for direct admission into a University in Finland. In this case, YOU DO NOT need to write an entrance exam to be admitted. If you are interested to write the SAT exam and do not know what to do, you can contact us for more information. The SAT exam can be written in your home country.

Study a semester in your home country and gain direct admission

You can also get a study place in a Finnish University by first studying for a semester in your home country. The credits obtained during this period will be transferred to your study program once you begin your studies in Finland. The studies take place online and are subjected to a fee.

Master´s degree admission at Finnish University of Applied Sciences

To be eligible to study at the Masters level in Finland, you must hold a Bachelor´s degree from a University of Applied sciences or another appropriate higher education degree with at least TWO years of work experiences in a relevant field. Copies of your final degree certificate must arrive at the admissions office of the University of Applied Sciences by the deadline indicated by the school.

Each University of Applied Sciences separately determines the basic educational requirement for each program. But in general, applicants who meet the minimum requirements must write the entrance exam of the program or in some cases, asked to complete a given task by a certain deadline.
